Unity Recommendation Project
Description
This is a project created in 4 hours for my Communications class as a supplement to my final presentation. The presentation was over the similarities and differences between the Unity and Unreal Engines, as well as the kinds of developers each is tailored towards.
For the presentation, I decided to test myself to see what could be created in each of the engines in under 4 hours. For the Unity side, I created a simple demo of a third person dungeon crawler. The player is able to move around and shoot blasts of magic.
To demonstrate Unity's lighting pipeline, I created several emissive textures with different colors and animated a glowing electrified crystal orbiting on a pedestal. All of the lighting is done in real time and it is fairly inexpensive thanks to using the Lightweight Render Pipeline.
