Description

This project was created for my Computer Imaging class where we were tasked with creating an editorial cover for an article detailing the progression support for the BLM movement over time. With the graph of the NYT article as a base, I added a background consisting of different stages of the protests which were ignited in March. On the background of the graph itself, I included the symbol of the clenched fist denoting solidarity with the BLM movement. All images other than the one from NYT were taken from wikimedia commons.

I later went back to make edits so that it would flow better and more properly guide the viewer's eye. After that I began adding the typography. The largest and most prominent text is "BLACK LIVES MATTER" surrounded with a white highlight to denote the increasing number of white allies over time.
